Pi Pi stay in NTU halls
Today is a very sad day for pipi. Pipi stay in hall has finally come to an end. In the past, pipi used to have 3 homes - 1 in NTU, 1 in Jurong West and 1 in Hougang. Now with kaka handing over his hall room keys, pipi has only 2 properties to his name now.
To mark this special day, pipi shall recap on all the rooms he had stayed in NTU. Pi Pi Pi.
Mid 2004: Hall 2 Blk 3 Room 1-51.
This was pipi 1st room in NTU. It was a short stay for pipi who has just arrived as a newborn from Woodlands Kiddy Palace. The good thing is that pipi has his own toilet at hall2 but this was also his worse stay cos TAY KAKA kept him in the cupboard. PI PI PI. lucky KL rescued pipi from the cupboard when kk shifted to hall 8.
Mid 2004 to mid 2005: Hall 8 Blk 43 Room 2-206
kk has shifted to hall 8, same hall as kl. kl has taken ownership of pipi and now pipi sleeps comfortably at her room. Occasionally, pipi will sneak to kk room at Blk 44 level 2 when kl gets rough in her sleep (she always kick pipi to the floor!!!! PI PI PI!!!). It is only until the second semester when ah sum became kl roomie that pipi finally has a bed of his own (cos ah sum seldom came back to sleep). It was also here that pipi lost his first 2 pets (xiao xin and mei ya) T-T. Xiao xin and mei ya were bought by kl and kk together at a pet shop before they officially became my parent. To remember them, pipi had named another turtle pet xiao xin. It was a memorable stay because 大哥, 大嫂and toothy (who stayed next door for a sem) frequently joined in for dinner with kl, kk, debbie and pipi. We had steamboats, cooking sessions and it was here that we all dressed up to attend Yinghui wedding. It was also here that pipi completed his 1st Jigsaw puzzle. RH was officially declared pipi 1st soft toy pet after kk bought it for kl after seeing her hugging it when we were at JP kiddy palace. Tigger joined in as the 2nd one after kk friends gave him for his birthday. Xiao xin joined as the 3rd pet when kl bought it for kk during the NTUCO concert in 2005.
Mid 2005 to end 2005: Hall 3 (old) cannot remember room and level
From 2 rooms to choose in NTU till only 1 room left cos kl did not participate in ECA and no points to stay hall. Pipi followed kl home to stay during this semester and only use kk room as a 避暑山庄. Nothing much happen during this one semester except that kl picked up cello and kk used to carry her cello back to his room from nanyang house. Kl and kk often brought me to the musical room when kl practised her cello (cos she just started and the sound is very horrible so cannot practise in the room). They also had dinners at the TV lounge often. Pipi magic for cab was very bad there. Waiting for cab there is very bad compared to hall 8 where a lot of cabs zoomed past. The reason kk chose hall 3 was so that we can shift to the new hall3 in the second semester.
End 2005 to mid 2006: Hall 3 (new) Blk 3C Room 3-13
Pipi remembered that 大哥and 大嫂 helped to clean up the room and gave pipi a glowing lamp for christmas present that year. Kl, kk and pipi also spent Christmas there also. Pipi also remembered that becos the hall is new, there is no Internet access. Kk, Kl and pipi had to walk all the way from the new hall 3 to the old hall 3 at 11pm to burn some movies from kk pc (still at the old hall 3) to pass time while waiting for countdown. Hehe, it was then that pipi 一鸣惊人by saying "now what??" after countdown to midnight. During this semester, kk and his roomie were at IA, therefore the room belonged to pipi and kl during the afternoon after lesson. It was also here that pipi caught the World Cup 2006 fever. Pipi and kk supported Italy while kl supported the "Ah Rium" (Germans). Pipi, kl, kk, 大哥and 大嫂 also watched the final between Italy and France together and saw Zidane headbutt. It was also during this time that kk got his IDA scholarship for his final year in NTU and pipi taxed him heavily since then. It was during this time that pipi acquired his yellow pillow.
Mid 2006 to mid 2007: Hall 3 (single room) Blk 3D Room 02-03
Pipi finally got his own room!! After kk had slaved for points in TSC and NTUCO, he finally earned enough points to get a single room. kk wanted to apply hall 16 but was afriad that his points were not sufficient. If not, pipi would get the chance to stay in hall 16. Pi pi pi!! The 2nd jigsaw puzzle was completed during this time. It was here that kl, kk and pipi exercised the most. We went jogging around NTU and played badminton. We also watched a lot of dramas (My boss my hero, Nodame, 唐心风暴, Apprentice S1-6, Top Chef S1 and many more) during this period of time when having our meals. We also had a memorable steamboat session at the TV lounge with ah sum, toothy, she-rex, 大哥and 大嫂. Ah sum, toothy and she-rex then stayed over to finish the whole of 加油金顺.It was also this time that pipi discovered that you could advance booking McDonald breakfast. Kl also became very attached to a puppy who was living with kk neighbour and almost wanted to bring it home despite the puppy pee-ing everywhere. Pipi enjoyed staying in this room the most and referred to this period as the "Golden Period". Chili Crab joined as the 4th pet during this period.
